Angelo Basu is the Chairman of Leeds North West Conservative Association. He has lived in Leeds North West since 2005 first in Headingley and since 2013 in Weetwood. Angelo is a lawyer and a specialist in EU law and regulatory compliance. He was previously a governor of Spring Bank Primary School in Headingley where he had responsibility for the school's Special Educational Needs provision and latterly chaired its Finance Committee. He also played Santa at the school's Christmas Fair for several years. He shares in the care of his son, who attends a local state secondary school, and also a small, white, fluffy dog.
